I am curious to know why noone goes to the Bonaire Talk forum much anymore.... any guesses?

I just posted a positive review of a place I rented and felt like I was getting my head bitten off by a user there who was unhappy for some reason. That sort of left me with a negative feeling about the site; I guess others probably feel the same way.

That's funny (the ironic kind) and timely. I'm pretty sure the BT member you're referring to is the same person who started this thread.

I never re-registered after the website change. I still go lurk there from time to time. As for why I don't generally post there these days...

1.) If I want to post related to scuba diving, I'd rather do it here, when more divers with a broader interest are apt to see the post.

2.) A number of people on Bonaire Talk live on Bonaire, at least part-time, so to some extent it reads like a local community. I feel like an outsider. No one made me feel that way; it's just different. I do occasionally read a thread on a non-diving related matter there.

3.) I don't have any particular need to post there. Most of what I need to ask about Bonaire can be addressed here.

Richard.
