Packhorse:You are driving in a car at a constant speed.
On your left side is a valley and on your right side is a fire engine traveling at the same speed as you.
In front of you is a galloping pig which is the same size as your car and you cannot overtake it. Behind you is a helicopter flying at ground level. Both the giant pig and the helicopter are also traveling at the same speed as you.
What must you do to safely get out of this highly dangerous situation?
mike_s:Wrong. You still have one bird left, the one you shot.
Zeeman:That is assuming that the shooter is a good shot, and if it were me, I know I would miss..
Z...
You shoot & kill one of them
prittykitty:He's a glass of water.
scubapolly:Yes.
Ok here's another one:
In a room there are 53 Bicycles and a man lying dead. What happened?

TxHockeyGuy:I'll have to say, I did get the bird one pretty quickly. But I've done my fair bit of shooting.
I am interested if anyone has been trying my riddle.
You have a balance scale and 12 coins, 1 of which is counterfeit. The counterfeit weighs either less or more than the other coins. Can you determine the counterfeit in 3 weightings, AND tell if it is heavier or lighter?
I did solve this, but it took me about 4 hours. Once again, the solution is easily found via google, please don't cheat.
scubapolly:I tried, but the closest I am coming is you split the coins into 3 groups of 4. You weight group 1&2, then groups 2 &3. From that you would know which 2 were off, and which direction. then you split the group up into 2 groups of 2 and weigh again. But I need one more weighing to know which coin.
Am I on the right track?
