Just bought my dive partner a Suunto for his birthday. I have a vytec as well.
Interesting on readability- I am fine in tropical water with decent light and or viz. But when doing cold water diving in very low viz environments the readability is not as good. I do wear a small spg on a short hose for a few other reasons (easy for the partner to check my air, easy for me to see relative postion of needle, redundancy should my airintegration fail).

Oceanic Pro Plus 2 is easy to use and easy to read. My wife and I both dive with one. I will say the my PP2 quit working on its first dive but it was under warranty and they sent me a different unit. Haven't had a problem since.
