Sort distance put it on the roof (Dries faster), other wise I just keep a big bin in the trunk of my car.

I have a rubber mat in the trunk that keeps the water from soaking the deep shag upholstery. As soon as I get out of my gear, I usually try to get it drying- inflate the wing, lay out the drysuit, shake the water out of the regs, etc.

I just throw it on the back seat since I'm usually driving a rental car.

I use a large unfolded waterproof tarp, covering the bottom and sides of the trunk, so that any water dripping from gear has somewhere to pool.

Ditto the tarp and the Rubbermaid plastic tubs. Put any equipment that drips a lot of water in the tubs (after you have hand dried your equipment as much as possible, of course)...

I use a combo of what's already been mentioned: Rubbermaid tub + waterproof tarp in trunk. If I'm unfortunate enough to be using the 2-door Honda Civic as scubawagon, the Rubbermaid tub is loaded up with wet gear and then wedged behind the passenger seat. A hand bucket is useful for isolating muddy/sandy boots.

Rubbermaid tub(s).

Another vote for the poor man's dive bag! It even fits perfectly under many of the bigger dive boats benches.
