What did the dive operator do to go the extra mile?

In Hawaii for a convention and had a couple hours. They called themselves the dive valet's. Had a big phone book ad.

Picked me up, gear was set up onboard, everything in my size, gear was like new, I put on the wetsuit, and sat down. They put on my fins handed me a defogged mask and I stepped into the water. Getting out they switched my tanks and we were good to go for another round.

It was literally show up and dive.

Newer seen that in my life. Didnt see them when I was back there 6 years later...

One of the mates on an NC boat drove home to get a drysuit hose for me to borrow once. Needless to say he got a good tip.

Dive op in NC... my husband came up from Dive #1 and was changing his tank. He unscrewed the knob on his regulator a bit too far and bloop, right into the drink! My husband stood there in shock, then turned to me and said "oh well, looks like I am done for the day". Once he explained to me what happened, we told the boat capt. He immediately said "let's get the rest of the people on the boat, then, come see me.... you are NOT done for the day". Well, 20 minutes later the boat capt and 2 DMs were busy working on my husband's reg, pulling out their gear bags, trying to find a part. Next thing we know the capt pulls out his own reg and a wrench.... hoses switched out, computer switched out. Needless to say... my husband did Dive #2. And yes, they got an extra $20 in the tip jar.
