What dangers do Divers face?

On a dive of below normal viz I was following my buddy they missed the branch that I hit, on a submerged tree.

You could chalk it up to a communication problems, after the dive we came up with the hand signal for low hanging branch.
 
LOL - that's great. I can just about picture the look on your face. (Of course I have my own experiance to call on.) ;) Bet it surprised the heck out of you though. And thanks, I'll be on the look out for LHB's on future low viz dives.

Is the biggest menace. The inner voice that says "Oh, that won't happen to me" or "I don't need any more training!". Humans have the preponderance to rationalize. Just check out the garden of Eden... "I ate the apple SHE gave me, Lord." Just because you choose to ignore the coming consequences, DOES NOT MEAN you can avoid them! Humility and understanding your place on this earth will overcome this sometimes fatal flaw.
