I am coming down in early Sept to dive the Yukon. What are the water temps running? I was just in the Channel Islands and the temps were in the low 60s below 60 feet.

I've logged min temps between 56-58F on my 3 most recent Yukon dives ... all have been within the past 3-4 weeks.

I have seen temps as low at 49 and as high as 57 on the yukon in Sept in the last 4 years. Water HAS been warm but ya never know.

I actually dove the Yukon today and I wanted to give you a precise answer .... so I downloaded the data from my Sensus ULTRA and I realized that this device has an huge thermal hysteresis ... probably of several minutes. Basically it is accurate only if you stay in a specific spot 5 minutes or so.

Anyway, if I look at the ascent profile, it looks like that at the bottom (-100ft) temp was 54F, at -40ft I had 56F, then a first thermocline at -30ft were temp went to 60F and the second thermocline at -15ft were it was 67F.
The ascent profile should be accurate because I hovered at the various points for looooong time.
