If you don't mind me asking but what is your current setup as from your initial post it was a list for a cold water setup?

I ended up with a DSS adjustable harness, and the oxycheq signature wing 45#. I didn't get the mach 5 because I wanted the option of not using the STA since I got the heavy STA. I should have gotten the 30 instead of the 45

I used Apex weight pockets, and they work great.

I bought the Scubapro like cam straps from Dive Rite Express for $15 each. I just got them, so I really don't know if I'll like them as much as the standard cam straps. I'll have a better feel after tomorrow.

BSea,

From what I gathered, you've got a pretty good setup there and althought the 45 is a bit larger than what I would get, it's not much bigger than a 30 and you could use it for cold water dives should you decide to use a 7mm suit for extra lift when the suit compresses.

I not seen the Apex pockets so it would be nice if you could take a photo of your rig and post it.

The Scubpro like cam bands are really worth it considering that a regular SS cam cost twice but it does make adjustments on the fly a little harder than a regular cam band.

All in all you've got a really good setup for a decent price.

Enjoy.

I went with the Hammerhead cold SS plate with the 2 piece STA. I have done about 16 dives on it so far and it has been great. I looked at the DSS plate as well but for the money its hard to beat Hammerhead. I would recommend them to anyone.
