Hello to the forum.

I found this amazing site while researching a BC purchase in the near future. I actually learned to dive on my own many years ago in a tropical location and in waters that our military supervisors deemed "off limits" due to an abundance of sharks reported in the water. I eventually didn't drown myself or my buddy nor were we eaten at that time. Later, my best friend in college was a NAUI instructor and I learned how lucky I was way back when. We dove some interesting sites around Puget Sound and the San Juan Islands but left college, married our girlfriends and launched our lives. Somehow many years slipped away but I recently had business on Utila Island, Honduras and decided to dive in, so to speak. I really missed the adventure and the people. Yes, the majority of the divers have all gotten younger while I haven't aged a day but the equipment is much better and I'm really looking forward to keeping on.

Once again: great forum, very informative and nice group as far as I've seen. I can answer some questions anyone may have about Utila, Roatan or the Moskito Coast. I got back April 12 after three weeks.

Stay healthy.

Hi Sasquatch,
Great introduction!
Welcome to SB, I think you may have found a home for your online passion of diving.
Don't worry about the age thing, many polls here on SB have the 40+ in the majority.

Howdy and welcome to ScubaBoard.com

Wow, that is a wild start up story. :11: Good to hear you made a couple of safer restarts. I'd love to see an Utila report in the South America forum if you have the time and inclination. A group of us from here are going this summer. :biggrinba
