Met up with the guy who always wears a hat, and the young japanese gentleman, and decided to go out at Little Corona, because she said she would meet us there. Connected with Cheese Whiz and geared up. She didn't show, so we headed out.
The shorebreak was not a problem on the way out, so we kicked out to the bouy.

Dropped down to 16fsw with 8 ft of viz, started on a heading of 160 and within 45 seconds lost sight of the guy who always wears a hat, and Cheese Whiz. The young japanese gentleman stuck to me like glue, and we surged our way through the kelp strands. We took to swimming with a hand out in front of us, after konking into rocks a few times. Couldn't check cracks for bugs because the surge would konk us into rocks. Saw some Garabaldi, but only because they are BRIGHT ORANGE. Took a picture of my buddy, but couldn't tell who it was, because he was at arm's length.

Thumbed the dive after 9 minutes, and found the other two already topside. Had to dodge surfers on the way back in, but our timing was impeccable, and we didn't get rolled. talked to college cuties on the beach, then slogged up the hill. Talked to Mr. Lawsuit as we shucked our gear. I suggested that we should try diving the other side of the breakwater, but they seemed to think that we would get a wedgie.

Bottom Time: 9 minutes. (less than the surface swim)
Max Depth: 23 fsw
Air Use: 600 psi (mostly on entry and exit)
Wildlife Seen: College Cuties, Female Joggers,

Two words: Surf Report. Dial before you dive. Of course, thursday night they said good viz & I found 5' max, but I also found 4 legal bugs, so I'm not complaining.

Heh, sounds like my dive at Malaga yesterday. Visibility was roughly from my eyeball to my mask. Ken, Stephen, and I tooled around for 11 minutes, max depth was 19 fsw, and we returned our tanks almost completely full.

Last week at Leo was almost the exact same story. I haven't gotten a good dive in since September 20 :depressed:
