Whale Shark tour recommendations?

We are considering a trip in July to Cozumel. We definitely want to spend a day or maybe two snorkeling with the whale sharks. We want a smaller group with max time in the water for photos and videography and don't mind getting up early. We will have all our own gear and plan to combine it with scuba on the Coz reefs. What operators are top rated for serious divers/photographers as opposed to typical tourist trips (which we have heard usually have only a small amount of time in the water)?

Also, if there are private charters that people recommend, and someone is interested in sharing cost for a small group, please pm me! Dates are flexible. There are two of us.

I was hoping to see some responses to your question. We will also be in the Riviera Maya in July! We will be doing a whale shark excursion too.
