My ultimate goal is a to TOUCH a whale shark. I've looked into diving with lots of them, but you can't touch in most places. I'm just afraid that I will be so overwhelmed with adrenaline that I will touch without thinking ;) , and then have to pay that $10,000 fine. That would not be fun! I've seen lots of pics with people touching. Where can you do this? I live in Texas and just simply can't go to Australia just yet. Anywhere in the Americas (or close) that you can do it? Oh, I'm a teacher so I have to travel in the summer months. (for migration purposes...where will they be?)
I also want to see a manta ray. Where is the closest place I can go for this. I know Kona is well known for these, but is there anywhere closer to me? Maybe somewhere I can do both at once?:D
Thanks.....
