You sure about that? On the Alaska Peninsula? Are we talking about the same thing? I said reindeer, you said "boo," which most likely means you're talking about caribou? Anyhow, I thought reindeer were imported and first introduced in the 1890's, though much farther north? There are still caribou in the Aleutians. There are still a couple of Native-managed herds up North. I could be wrong, but I'll do some checking and report back later. I just can't imagine most cattle would do very well on the tundra.....wildcard:They went from boo to cattle in the late 1800s, for the most part.
