So I just purchased a 3mm wetsuit from Seavenger. I noticed that he sells on eBay but nobody bids on the suit. Here are the specs:Comfortable and stylish 3mm jumpsuit with attractive fine mesh chest panels.

Flat-lock stitching eliminates seam irritation

Special back reinforcements ensure reliability to bring you years of service

Large size back zippers eliminates woeful zip problems leash assists donning and doffing

Additional zippers on wrists, ankles and chest assist donning and doffing

4-way stretch panels strategically placed under armpits and back

Is there any reason why this is not a good suit? It fits me fine...which is another thing. How is a wetsuit supposed to fit? It is snug everywhere but the wrist and under my arms has a bit of room. Other than that it fits pretty snug without feeling cramped. How are they supposed to fit? Thanks.

Does the suit keep you warm and comfortable?

If yes, then good suit
If not, then bad suit

Simple.

Idealy a wetsuit should be in contact with your skin everyware but not tight. There should be no airspace between you and the suit.
I say "Idealy" because this may not by possable in an off the rack suit. In no case should the suit be so tight that it requires effort to breathe. Accepting a small amount of airspace is OK if the next size down would be to tight.

I can't see why zippers on the arms and legs would be needed on a 3mm suit. 3mm suits are so thin that they go on an offeasy. Even a well fitting 7mm suit would not need this. Zippers reduce flexabilty and add bulk and let water in.

The bottom line is however if it fits you and it's the "correct" thickness then it's good. Not much else maters. Brand, color design are all just "details"

If you are using a 3mm suit. I asume you are divinging in warm water so having the "perfect" wetsuit is not so critical for you. It's not like you will be using it in 50F water.

so aparently nobody cares to reply....I see how it is.

I see you are new here:
Wait at least 24 hours. Many people only check the board one a day. and sometimes I actually have to work at work.

Also it helps to ask very specifiy questions. Make it easy for people to reply. Maybe this means you have to make two posts and think carfuly about what it is you need to know

Scubaboard is a geat resource but don't expect people to write a textbook on an hour's notice.

Also please fill in your profile. Let people know where you live. (I'm guessing some place with warm water if you are buying a 3mm suit.) The more people know about you the better they can help.

I eventually settled for one that was tight, as in TIGHT but not to the extent it was constricting me. Realise the more fitting it is the warmer. If youre going for warmth, maybe avoid your current one with gaps here and there.

By the way, a more unambiguous title might help you. ;)

well I haven't actually used the suit as of yet...I will be using it to snorkel in a spring tomorrow. I am not usually bothered by cold too much so I figured that 72 degree water with a 3mm suit would be okay....lol...sorry about sounding fustrated... I really wasnt.

Personally, I'd be freezing after about 20 minutes in 72 degree water in a 3mm, but that's me.
