Can anyone tell me where I can find a sizing chart for wetsuits? I'm looking into getting a new one and since I lost alittle weight I want to check my size, Would anyone happen to know the basic size for a 5'9" 200lb man? Thanks,

Thay are like shoes different brands will fit different.

If there is a brand you like better than others, go to their website, the usually have charts. I know some brands like Bare have a lot more sizes than others. Other suits like the Henderson Hyperstretch stretch a ton, so that they fit a big range of people. My brother is 2-3" taller than me and weighs 25 pounds more, yet we both wear the same size Hyperstretch.

Your best bet is to try a few on.

It's really brand dependent and sometimes varies between suit models.

You're someplace between A Bare MLTall and XL depending on your torso proportions and weight placement. Here is their size chart. I echo Bare as having a great assortment of sizes.

There is no good substitute for an in store fitting.

Big thing to be careful about is the leg length. I'm 5'8" and 185# and Henderson's charts said I needed a size XL in the Hyperstretch. So I bought one in that size. It was about 4" too long. Since I bought it from a supplier other than Henderson and on sale I was stuck with it. So I cut it to length and had a seamstress clean up the mess. Nice suit though.

Boy, try it on first. A great example of why is the Mares Hyperstretch. The old model might fit someone who lives at Golds Gym while their newest models would fit me.

A guy I just dove with bought a suit online based on his description of himself to the seller. It fits like a dress suit, not a wetsuit.

You have to go try one on. That's the only way to get it right. And know what thickness you will need because you may wear different sizes in different thicknesses.

I wear an XL 2 mil shortie, a 2XL 3 mil full, and a 4X 7mm full. And the 4X is the tightest of the three.

phil and del: I bought the suit online and on sale. It was less than half price so I took the chance. Actually it fit my upper torso so good that it wasn't a real problem tailoring the ankles. I have very large arms and a pot belly so everything worked out. I do like the suit.
