Wetsuit fitting-Shrink or expand when wet?

I went to my local scuba pro store, and tried on the S-TEK Steamer XL, which fit great, but was too short in legs and arms. He didn't have a XXL in stock, so I tried on one of the rental XXL (not an S-TEK Steamer, but similar in cut he says), and it fit great everywhere but around the chest (I could pinch the neoprene with my fingers and thumb). I told him to order the steamer, hoping it will fit better than the rental. If it's not perfect around the chest, then should I work out, or will it shrink or stretch in the water? Or should I just tell him to keep the suit?

Will not shrink, but will stretch somewhat.
