If she wears it long enough she'll either stretch it with her neck or choke to death!!!
I'm betting on the latter.

But I"m being ornery and sassy. :)
Don't ever change, you hear!? How else will I know when I'm being a wiener if I don't have you to put me in my place? ;)

Okay, I summoned up the courage to try the monster on again this morning and, again, it was uncomfortably tight around the neck even w/o the velcro closed. This time I was able to analyze the situ a bit better since I wasn't under a time crunch like we all (students) were at the shop.

It's actually the top of the collar that's choking me and not the seam. I closed the velcro, opened the velcro, closed it, etc., and it didn't make any difference at all. My breathing was still constricted, my face started swelling up/turning red, and I found it difficult to swallow. Not *horribly* difficult, but difficult nonetheless. I should be able to swallow comfortably, shouldn't I?

Also, this time I noticed that my hands swelled up and started turning a bit red, too. Especially when I bent my elbows. It's like the blood is being allowed to shoot down into my hands, but not able to shoot back up into my arms.

This all reminds me of when I was a kid and used to put rubber bands around my fingers and watch them swell up and turn different colors until they looked like fat little purple sausages.

Well, I don't want to be a fat big purple sausage(!), so I'm going to call the shop today and tell them I need a bigger suit. Oh, and they fitted me with a medium-sized BCD and set it outside the dressing room while I took the wetsuit off and got back into my clothes. When I came out the medium sized BCD had disappeared, so they sent me home with a large instead? I'll address that, too, when I call them.

Sheesh, this is nuts!

Thanks for the support. :)

Called 'em and they're going to have a one-size larger suit and one-size smaller BCD ready for me when I go back in next week.

WHEW!!!!!!!

You guys are all terrific. Thanks SO much for your help!

Pue,
If you keep being so obstinate and intractible I'm going to have to come up there and, as the neighbor's wife said in "Neighbors" with John Belushi, "Pull down you little pants and spank your little buns . . ."
I intend to stay VERY ornery in that case!!!

I think it's awesome what happens when you put your foot down....particularly if you're wearing a really nice pair of pumps at the time. :ircqnet:

Well, here's the thing - I can barely breathe in it! Not because it's too tight in body, but the neck (collar?) is choking me. GACK!

Mine doesn't feel comfortable when I do the front zipper ALL the way up. I leave it down 1 or 2 inches, or so, and all is great.

The one they gave me has the zipper in the back, so not closing it wouldn't really be an option. I'm hoping that the larger suit will be the answer. I'm pretty sure that's what the problem is...we'll see!
