Are you guys referencing the Amphibian or the Pelagic boots? They are a little pricey for what I was thinking but ultimately I want something that works well.

I haven’t looked at those, but I have other Fourth Element gear and really like it. I see they include insoles which is great, it looks like they are slightly more substantial than normal wet boots with rubber outsoles but not as beefy as rock boots?

For my tropical / warm water option I love my Seasoft SunRays. Half height with a robust hard sole and arch support. Fine on the boat and excellent for shore diving (Bonaire).

I'm referencing a boot that fits the foot and also fits in the fin and insoles from the insole shop

Saw Xcel has a deal on super heavy duty boots:

You guys are giving me too many good options now! :)

I need something bigger by less than 1/4” around to fit snug in the XT pocket. There is actually more gap in the width of the pocket than height. My preference would be hard sole but I’m afraid that will be too bulky unless they don’t stand that much taller? Next option for size and reviews seems like Fourth Element with the insoles. I wish there was a dealer nearby that I could fit these!

I wanted to follow up to say thanks and for anyone else with similar questions along the way.

I ordered the Fourth Element Pelagic boots from DRIS. They are wonderful boots, slightly more substantial just like I wanted and very comfortable. They also fit the XT fin pocket perfectly. DRIS was excellent as always.

Thanks for the suggestions, this was a big help!

I have weird feet and had a lot of problems with getting a fin to fit properly. My foot inside the wet suit booty would fit perfect from front to back but flop around sideways and up and down. Smaller sized fins hurt my toes and if I loosened them up, they fell off. (The fins, not my toes!) My Wife got tired of listening to me gripe while I tried different solutions and told me to just wear shoes. That sparked an idea.

I bought a set of boat shoes that fit over the wet suit booties and got a set of fins that fit them perfectly. The boat shoes stay on the wet suit boots. It works perfectly and even gives better protection while walking around.
