wet suit question

Hi from Masachusetts where it is still very cold. does any one know what 3/2 means on a wet suit? I need a new one and it is advertised as 3/2 not like 7mm

The 3/2 means that the core is 3mm and the legs and arms are 2mm.

if you dive in mass you better look for a 7mm 3-2 is for warm water we use a 3-2 in nc befor the water gets to 80
