I was always very comfortable in the water in New England in a 7mm 2 piece, but usually stuck to the warmer July-Oct months

What I found unpleasant was suiting up on a sunny day...

No matter how bad you think it is suiting up in a wetsuit, suiting up in a drysuit on a sunny day is 5x worse. :) Picture wearing a black snowsuit that is completely windproof with a rubber band around your neck. :)
