A man in his twenties was reported missing by his dive buddies at Giske near Ålesund in Western Norway. Ambulance, rescue helicopter, rescue boat and rescue divers were at the site a soon as possible, and the diver was quickly located out of the water. https://translate.google.com/transl...yheter/article10221876.ece&edit-text=&act=url

The mentioning of the fact that "the police will deal with the man's behavior and investigate further" indicates that poor adherence to proper lost buddy procedures may have had something to do with the incident.

Some of my tax money probably paid for that rescue action, and unless gross negligence is uncovered, the persons involved will probably come out of the incident without any economic consequences. IMO, that's just fine, because economic considerations shouldn't be an issue when you're deliberating whether or not to call emergency services.
