Help ... need some advice.

I will be staying in west palm for a long weekend and deciding on were to dive.

Should I forgo W. Palm and take the road trip to Key Largo for the day or does W. Palm offer good diving?

Also, any recomendations on dive charters will help. Looking for the best boat and possible sites.

Thank You:confused:

Diving in West Palm is awesome! It's easy drift diving. I've seen sharks, turtles, humongous rays, dolphins, and all manner of fascinating critters in West Palm.

Contact Jim Abernathy's Scuba Adventures for more info.

I wouldn't take the extra time for a Keys trip unless you had already been to W. Palm.

Best boat is awfully subjective, but I do agree that if you're only around for a long weekend I wouldn't waste the time and effort it would take to get to the Keys since there is very good diving that you can do very close to where you'll be already.

Thank You all for your prompt replies.

Really looking forward to doing some warm weather/water diving.

Thank You

Looks like you've gotten plenty of good input for your questions.

I'd just expand on that to say that my own (very personal and subjective, of course :) ) preference is to go just a little south of West Palm to Boynton/Deerfield--it's often less crowded and I find the reefs to be much more interesting--more vertical relief, nooks and crannies, etc.

If you want, feel free to PM me the dates you'll be in town if you're without a buddy....I'm usually raring to go!

West Palm is nice, but you'll find better diving at Boyton and Deerfield Beach. :tree: Bob

The boynton delray area has some awesome ledges and nice wrecks, splashdown divers in boynton is pretty good.

West Palm is worth diving. We dive there several times each year. We use Jim Abernathy Scuba Adventures when we dive there. We have taken some great pictures from there. Attached is a picture of a tutrle from West Palm. If you need any help with hotels let us know.
