Next inlet up is Jupiter. The reefs north of WPB have the most profile and variety, not to mention more sea life. Another plus is that the gulfstream is closest to this inlet than any point on the continental USA. Ocean temps should be around 80 by then as well.
Scubaworks and Jupiter Dive Center are both great shops. Be advised that most of the diving is in the 70-80' depths. Air will limit your bottom time to 30 minutes, but Nitrox will allow you 45, the preferred blend.
Njoy!

Here's a fourth (or is it a 5th?) for Pura vida. Very nice op. Yes, most of your diving will be drift diving in the 60-80 feet range. At those depths, nitrox increases your dive time by roughly 50%. If you're not already nitrox certified, do so now. SSI offers a 3 hour course, no dives required. It's not uncommon on those dives to start out with about 8 divers in a group, then the air divers disappear after a half hour or so. The nitrox divers have no trouble continuing for an hour. When they get back on the boat, it really is cruel for the nitrox divers to brag about what they saw and the air divers missed. Life is cruel, especially for the unprepared.

90% of my WPB dives are with Pura Vida. Dean is a top notch Captain.

I have to offer another vote for Oceanquest Scuba. They do have a smaller boat, but even with 12 divers (thier max) there is still room. PM me for more details.

I just took a group of divers out on Sandy's Sunday last Friday. After being received like family by Sandy and her crew and being introduced to some of their favorite dive sites, we made sure to return for more on Saturday. Judging by the way Sandy handles her boat, you can tell that she's been doing this a while. During our drift dives, she always spotted us almost immediately after surfacing, if not before, and rushed to pick us up. Her Divemaster and UW guide, Austin, was also top notch. He was energetic, courteous and very outspoken. I highly recommend a trip to Shark Canyon where Austin will introduce you to the resident reef sharks that he readily identifies by name. This was an unforgettable experience that I hope to partake in again next time I am in WPB. The rest of Sandy's crew were also very friendly and would not even let us unload our car. Before we knew it they had all of our gear loaded on the boat and ready to go. The boat was not overcrowded and we pretty much had our pick of dive sites. If you want to be videotaped or photographed during your dives, just let Sandy know in advance and she will set it up. Check out her website at www.oceanquestscuba.com
