At this point direct flights from Canada are not allowed

Passengers from all countries may travel to Bonaire. From or via the Netherlands, from or via Curacao. To avoid quarantine travelers must have had a PCR test taken no earlier than 72 hours before their departure and the test result must be negative. The test has to have been taken within 72 hours of departure; point of departure being defined as the Netherlands, Curaçao

That is true, kilroy, but that ban expires after Jan 15 so pending other changes, US and Canadian flights may resume.

The catch is it looks like Westjet just cancelled the Bonaire flights. Probably driven by the change in Ontario to disallow access to the public PCR tests for travellers (cost $43 CAD, about $34USD, paid by government health plan, but who would complain if it was not covered for personal use?) and force travellers to pay $226 each at a private lab. Combined with a new federal edict requiring a PCR test before returning. Right now, who knows where and at what cost that can be done in Bonaire? In all likelihood, that will add almost $1000 to the $1150 in airfare a couple would pay to get to and from Bonaire and kill the demand on the route.

So it seems the flight ban is moot, whether or not it is lifted.
