We stayed at Buddy for 10 days. That place was a disaster. The rental truck were barely functioning. The doors barely opened and closed. The seats didn't lock. There were big holes in the floorboard. In the kitchen, that had so few plates a silverware that It was always "stand around and wait" for clean dishes to come out of the kitchen. You had to be fast, because there were so many people waiting that the plates disappeared fast. The door to our room didn't lock, and strangers came in to rob us. The house reef was magnificent.

The OP is staying in an AirBnb, not Buddy Dive.

This is not a good development...was this recently?
Not recently. Been about 6-7 years. Won't go back to Bonaire or Buddy.

To be fair, this was a long time ago. More recent visits by many people suggest these problems no longer exist, or perhaps never really existed to the extent claimed.

To the OP, if you have never been to Bonaire, when you get there you will realize that what you are asking for makes little sense. It is not a big place. There are multiple pick up drop off locations for tanks that couldn't be easier. And you analyze your Nitrox tanks as you pick them up.

Dropping by the tank place during the day couldn't be easier.

I used VIP Diving for a shore diving package; I picked up and dropped off at their dive op., but what I'm posting to mention is that they also had 100-cf tanks. For some of us, that matters.

Some dive op.s have multiple sites on Bonaire to pick up and drop off tanks; Dive Friends is well-known for this, and it does come in handy. I've used them before some years back when staying in a condo. at Sand Dollar.

Something to think about...you may want to rinse your gear at the end of the dive day, especially if those recommendations to soak gear in special rinses related to the current SCTLD outbreak are in effect. If so, you might be driving by a dive operator location at least in the evening anyway. Depending on how many dives/day you care to do on a given day, you may find this simplifies your life.

To be fair, this was our reality and we don't recommend Buddy. And we don't recommend Bonaire unless you're prepared to deal with crime.
