The Manitoba Underwater Council will be running a Cleanup dive and Dive Flag Awareness campaign at West Hawk Lake (Manitoba) on Saturday, June 20, 2009. Registration starts at 9:30am

This is an opportunity for Manitoba and Western Ontario Divers (and visitors) to help cleanup one of our favourite lakes and help reduce accidents.

For more information google The Manitoba Underwater Council

West Hawk Lake is on the Manitoba/Ontario border and part of it may even be in Ontario. I spent many summers on the lake and in the area. Wish I could be there to participate in the clean-up.
By the way - good luck on the dive flag initiative. Here on the St. Lawrence they are a target for boaters and jet skiis and only when we dive in New York are they deployed.
