Did the second day of a checkout dive yesterday at Front Beach in Rockport. First time I have dove there. It's usually packed with beach goers, but was virtually empty, just a FD doing some training dives. We were going to do Back Beach, but there were no parking spaces, all taken by divers, and we got there early!

Water was 43*F :shocked2:, but the students were troopers. We had a couple of teenagers with zero body fat, but they did all their dives. Some of the adults even did an extra dive. Family of three diving in the Turks next week, talk about an upgrade!

Viz was an incredible 30', the most I've ever seen in New England.

The last two days for us was 82 air/ 57 water Saturday, and 45 air/ 57 water Sunday. It felt good to get in the water to warm up on Sunday....

Yup - I had a class at front beach this weekend as well - I registered 37F on Sunday at 25' DAMN

Old garden Beach 41 degrees at 51 ft Viz easily 40 ft
Manage to last 38 min wetsuit.

This was on Saturday

Friday night, Nubble Light, >40' viz! Paid for it with cold temps: 41 through most of the dive with some areas of 39 degrees. Max depth was 47'.

Love nubble, can't wait to get back there this week or next. Much life underneath there yet?

Yes. Although only saw a couple of lobsters, we did see crabs, many sea-stars, a ravenfish, and a couple of varieties of jellies. One variety was a long thin one that probably measured 2-3 inches but we also saw a lot of very small (< 1 inch) box shaped ones.
