I would suggest having another adult ,or someone more competent to dive with you and your kid until he's old or strong enough(physically and mentally) to handle an emergency.SparticleBrane:Just curious--if you had a heart attack/stroke underwater, do you believe your son has the strength and stamina to get you to the surface and possibly kick you a good ways back to the dive boat while giving you rescue breathing?
