Unveiling new equipment and designs and the DEMA Trade Show has been on the decline in recent years. Officials at EDGE/HOG Gear are looking to turn this trend around IN A BIG WAY. In Orlando during DEMA Show 2013, EDGE/HOG gear will be introducing its brand-new sidemount system for the very first time.
The new set-up, one of a number of new products being introduced during the show, was inspired and designed with the help of well-known technical and cave diving specialist Edd Sorenson. Highly-regarded for his expertise and knowledge, Sorenson will be in the EDGE/HOG booth (#1667) during the show to demonstrate the new design and answer any questions.
Chris Richardson of EDGE/HOG had the following comments It was important to us that we didnt follow the status quo and just make a unit that was a copy of the modifications that Edd did on other brands products to make them diveable. When Edd and I started this process almost two years ago we both had VERY strong views on what we wanted, strongest was we both had a desire to make something that was functional out of the box. That was lacking in the industry. We also wanted something that was versatile enough for use in demanding cave diving and still be light and reasonable to travel with. A unit that weighs close to 15lbs like many on the market just isnt reasonable in todays weight restrictive air travel world. After a multitude of prototypes and dozens of test dives we have a unique solution.
Because EDGE/HOG is responsive to its customers, the company has announced a special promotion during DEMA to NAME THE RIG. Stop by the booth and make your suggestion for a name and be eligible to win a prize.
