I use integrated weights in my BCD. For me, it is much easier than a weight belt and less pressure on lower back.
Hmm. The waist is a point of the body most able to sustain weight. Having weight higher on the torso serves to increase pressure on the lower back do to leverage. For those who have issues with their weight belt slipping, use a pressure compensating belt like the old Jetbelt. I still use Jetbelts and never have any issues with slippage. In addition you should endeavor to carry the least amount of weight; I think many people are overweighted.
