FWIW, the St. Lawrence River and Kingston, Ontario are about the same distance away as Dutch Springs and have much much much much better diving. For my money, I'll dive intact 100+ year old wooden shipwrecks over some garbage sunk in a quarry.
 
At DS, it's first come rules. The pavilions around the penisula are owned by the local dive shops, and they are EXTREMELY territorial! So much for divers getting along....

I'll probably pop-up for a dive that weekend, since it's about 45 minutes for me. I'm still working on my bouyancy and weighting. If ya set up camp, just me tell me how to identify ya.

Exactly. The quarry is good for beginners, training and trying new gear. But it gets old real quick. I think a lot of people like it more for the social aspectsl.

So how long is the trip to St. lawrence from Boston? I've heard great things about it. Got any links to diver operators, etc?
