...What lighting design can do? No telling how much $$$$ he has in powerful u/w lighting...and I'm not talking about strobes!

Very surreal!

...when they turn their back to ya? Once I saw my first 2-3 seahorses, they got easier to find. But thay also learned really fast to keep their back to ya. Couldn't have anything to do with mega-watt stobes! So we'll just have to keep doing those contortions to find their faces...

BTW....I've never seen one in Coz!!!

Not a seahorse, but a close relative.

Here's a Pipefish

VERY nice pic!

Yeah, you gotta love that little habit they have of turning away from you JUST when you're going to snap that PERFECT pic. It's like "I don't see you, so you must be GONE now... lalalalalalalala!" :jester:

Patience DOES pay off, however. If you sit still enough & are quiet enough you CAN get the pic. Personally, I don't think the strobe has much to do with it.

I've been diving for 21 years. My son's are diving with me now. I've just started taking pictures. The first year was with a MMII. I just got a c 4040 and housing, the strobe will be next month. The input on the message board has been a great help. I've learned what I'm doing and not doing right. Here is a link to some pic's that I took last year on my first dive trip with the MMII in Cozumel. http://community.webshots.com/user/ruawildeone

Hey, those are some pretty good pics, One!

I especially like how you are getting some good lighting in there to bring out all the wonderful colours.

Keep it up! :)
