What's really sad is that about a year ago a boat got it's anchor or fishing net caught on the wreck and pulled it apart while freeing itself.
They scattered the parts all over the place.
The canon turret is all that is recognizable now.
 
What general area is this in? You made a great photo there.
 
Al, this wreck is at 60 feet just North of the Maui Prince Hotel. It is too far offshore for a shore dive but I have heard of divers doing it with scooters. About 100 yards South of the wreck at 57 feet is the other WWII vehicle which is in much better shape. That one is the turtle hangout and was the scene of Monday's dive pics

Keep your fingers crossed as we are forecast for no Tradewinds until around Monday. That translates to a calm flat ocean with muggy weather. My girlfriend Chris and I are planning to kayak to Molokini Crater on Friday to dive.
