wedding in Maldives

I am planning my wedding to Maldives and have the follwing resorts in consideration.

1) Ari Beach Resort ( White Sand Resort)
2) Coco palm resort
3) Medhufushi Resort

Anyone been to these resorts? Any comments (good/bad)? Other resorts...

Also anyone have any experience with underwater wedding? How is it like?

Ari Beach is full of families- kids and jet boats, banana rides- noisy, etc.


We went to Villehmundo- 600' by 150' wide with only 130-150 units. It is quite small, and intimate. The diving is fantastic. Beru Gato Tila and other inside reef dives are the best I've seen.

Good food and professional staff. The dive operation is owned by a German company- very well organized and well maintained gear.


We stayed for two weeks, 12 days of unlimited diving, food, drinks, and lodging for $3,000 for 2. It's cheap, and well worth the price.

The cost of getting there is the killer.

Hi, I stayed in Anantara Kihavah Maldives Villas during my honeymoon. It was so wonderful! Our room was so stunning as the outdoor view!White sand and warm blue ocean..what can be better for just married couple! We took a good deal of photos. By the way we've found our photographer in this site: Best photographers in Maldives from 500$

I have to wonder about possible legalities of getting married in a Muslim country? I guess it'd be fine if you're Muslim.
