I just started diving a BP/W. When I dive I'm having a harder time getting to the shoulder dump on my drysuit. Its a strain and I end up barely reaching it.

The rest of the BP/W is great (Oxycheq 30lb) and feels stable. Any ideas?

The shoulder straps should be tight enough to keep the rig stable but not so tight that you cannot reach your exhaust valve if it is proper placed on your forearm.

Just kidding about the forearm... if you would like someone else to take a look let me know and maybe we can meet up.

I would love to meet up sometime to dive. I'm itching to get to BC again. Missed a chance earlier this year.

In the meantime, it seemed to me from pictures that the straps were so tight as to almost pull back the shoulders somewhat (I forget which website showed a picture).

If I'm hearing you correctly, I should loosen the straps until I comfortably reach my dump valve. If the rig is still stable I've found my fit. Is that about right?

Uncle Pug:
BC? I'm in Everett.
That much closer. Sorry, thought you were doing stuff in BC.
