pffffssss.....8,500 feet.....that's nothing.....who's coming with me? I've done deeper dives with no tank, solo, and in split fins.
Don't even mention the approximate depth in meters....it'll prob just annoy someone who doesn't appreciate rounding ;-)
The scariest thing I saw underwater was an oar fish. It swam buy me when I was doing a saturation dive at around 700'.
Were you under the influence of saturation at the time ?
