I can't believe you suggested that on a safety oriented board.

I have a video of a kid hitting a can with a stick. He was engulfed in fire.

WD-40 --- good for cleaning guns and keeping metal from rusting, IF applied regularly.

I used to kick the ar$e of any troop who tried to hand in a weapon smelling of WD40. When it dries it tends to suck the oils out of the metal of a firearm and the things rust faster than if they hadn't been cleaned at all.

Firm believer in Breakfree CLP. Still wouldn't put the stuff anywhere near breathing gear though.

Wd 40 is a cleaner, not a lubricant. It doesn't belong in a reg....

Dude, there is no way a can of WD is going to self ignite. In days gone by when I had more freedom to play 'cause and effect', WD was one of the first taken on since it was so readily available. Well, I suppose it could work if he was using a flaming stick or whacking it over an open fire, but without that already being present as an equasion, WD won't go foosh!

Flame thrower wise.. one gets creative when they are cold, the fire is taking to long to get going, and there isn't enough lit to use the air mattress inflator to provide 'moving air' to accelerate things along. It also provides the oppotunity to teach the boys about fire safety, chemical reaction, air, accelerants, etc.

If it's the same one I saw the can was in a bonfire to start with. Any flamable liquid would have blown up like that.

The same link has a kid diving under a moving bus as well.:shakehead

Without having read the whole thread I can't believe that anyone could be that stoooopid to use WD 40 on regs. Naaah yes I can. There really are some DUMB people out there.

Apparently your save a dive kit looks a lot like my save a car kit...
