captain:
An MSDS of sea water would probably have some of the same warning. do not injest, avoid inhalation, eye irritant, etc

Umm.. what about the anesthesia?? So, if it has the potential to make someone go unconscious while diving that's not a problem with you? Would you agree something with these side effects is not ideal??

Given the choice of swallowing seawater or WD-40, would anyone prefer WD-40?

And would you swallow either one on purpose

Vomiting after drinking saltwater is not dangerous and saltwater is not an irritant, but a disinfectant (provided its clean!). Inhaling more or less anything is bad for you, including our polluted air..

WD-40 is a solvent for certain rubbers/plasics, only a blithering moron would use a volatile petrochemical in a breathing apparatus.
How do people like this get through instructor training?

very true , spray it on certain kinds of rubber and watch the rubber melt...

You sure it was not areasol silicon spray?

That guy needs to go to idiot jail. While he’s there give his cellmate BIG BUBBA a can and see if he likes getting lubed with WD-40. :blinking: :mooner: :11: :D

This is by far one of the stupidest things I’ve heard in a long, long time.

:no I was taking a work safety course. During all the topics covered...was a part on spraying the stuff on your body joints. I did not believe the instructor, people actually spray it on arthritic parts of the joints.......knees, elbows, you name it. They swear by it. She went on to tell us how deadly this can be. Long term chronic, that sort of thing. AND thats absorbed only threw the skin! Inhale it at your own ?????(whats a good word for it)??
