After seeing a commercial on PBS, I came to post that I did not realize that Aggressor does more than liveaboards, but saw a post on their website that Wayne Hasson died after a long battle with renal cell cancer. Brief condolences to his family.
Googling tells me the shortest answer is that renal cell cancer.is a cancer in the kidneys.
I did not query further to an actual date but the year was 2020.
After acknowledging that, I'm really wondering whether everybody was actually dying of cancer back in the old days or whether that is just happening in recent times and why. My father died of it in the early 80s, and my wife's parents both died of it.
Something is wrong somewhere.
