Anyone know what the typical water temp is in early May?

Oops...meant to specify the west coast of Kona

Sherman, thanks for the link. I clicked on Oahu (79 degrees) and that out house looks like Pearl Harbor.

I was out freediving today on the Kona coast, just plunking around the reef off the shore, no suit, perfectly comfortable.

Last time I was on Maui in May I had 79 degrees at most sites.

Last year in May we were seeing 76+/-, same as the year before. We're seeing cooler February water temps than we've seen in a few years so I suspect it could be closer to 74/75 by then... you never know for sure
