Hi All,

Does anybody know if Captain Goodlife is still running his water taxi ? He was at Santa Cruz beach. I am heading to Curacao in December and want to use his services again.

Thanks in advance :D .

Tracey

You don't happen to have an email for him do you? I have an old one that got kicked back. :scubadive: :sharkattack:

First off let me start by saying " YOU ROCK " !!!!! :D

I am buying a package from All West Apartments that includes unlimited shore diving with Ocean Encounters and a truck. I have been shore diving a Curacao three times. The first time we went to Curacao we did the boat dives and then we tried shore diving and it was alot better for us. Pure diving freedom. Not to mention its ALOT cheaper. Captain Goodlifes water taxi rocks. He only charged us 20US to take us to Mushroom Forest and picked us up an hour later at the far bouy... How cool is that.

ONLY cool for experienced divers who are comfortable diving without a guide. I just got back from Curacao and met a couple who used Captain Goodlife because of his excellent prices but didn't realize he was strictly a drop-off and pick up service.

PS - I also bought the All West Apartment package with a combination of boat/shore dives through Ocean Encounters WEST and a rental car. I was completely satisfied with the flexibility, service and price.

Thanks for the confirmation about All West. I don't want to be at the other end of the island and I didn't want to go to Captain Dons because I want to be able to cook as the restaurant prices are high to me.

But you really MUST consider at least one meal out at Curacao Sunshine's Sol Foods (open Friday, Saturday, Sunday) because the prices are reasonable, the food is fabulous and it's where all the divers hang out and swap stories (conveniently located not far from All West Apartments and on the way to Ocean Encounters WEST dive shop). Her pizza is wonderful and her brownies have a reputation all the way in Willemstad (I personally know a dive operator on that end of the island who will drive a bus all the way to Westpunt for the sake of them).
