Nasolabial folds are the creases that run from the sides of the nose to the corners of the mouth.

I'm pretty sure these lines next to the nose is causing water to keak into my mask.

Is there a hack or anything that can prevent this?

Try other mask that fits better

Current situation
Try to place mask nose pocket as high as possible, to maximize the distance for the moving part of the mouth.
Adjudt strap, so its pushing equal from both sides and not too strong.
Carefully and throughly shave (if applicable..)
Use vaseline, some people with a beard use this..

Mate there are some things we don't need to know so just call them smile lines like everyone else

Learn to keep your face expressionless and smile with your eyes, petroleum jelly works

That's very cheeky of you :P

Mate, I will not be taking any minor nor major lip from you today
That's about as far as we can take it here in Basic my man Burhan
or in any other forum

I think I have the same issue. My LDS recommended the Hollis M1 mask and it solved my problem. My SAC dropped and I could suddenly enjoy dives and see things rather than clearing all the time. I had about 5-6 other masks, all of which leaked on my face even if they seemed to seal in the shop. It did not immediately feel like the most comfortable mask I had tried, but it worked. (I own no stock, don't work for Hollis, etc.)

And totally nasolabial folds! To me, smile lines are at the corners of the mouth and eyes. Or would be, were I to smile. ;-)

A slight pressure into the mask will keep that water out unless you're diving upside down. :D

If you don't already have a mask with a double skirt, you might try that. Also. sometimes a mask will leak more if its too tight so play around with the "tightness" of the strap. Lastly.......where the back of your strap lands on the back of your head can make a difference. Good luck.
