When I am diving I always live on the edge of nasal disaster because I tend to get allergies when I travel and this can spiral into a sinus problem really fast.

I dont like taking medicines when diving - particularly Sudafed derivatives - but this trip I found the perfect solution - Wasabi paste.

I got a small tube of premix and took a small slug about once an hour before diving and a bigger slug when gearing up. It really helped keep my sinuses perfectly clear. It is not imagination - you can really feel it working.

This may not be for everyone - I love the taste and don't mind the 'impact' (it gets the eyes watering...) - but I will not be going diving again without a handy tube of Wasabi.

No thank you....I can't stand wasabi. I can literally feel my brain frying when I eat it, and I really don't like that feeling.

Anything that painful has to be good for you. :D

My wife gave me some wasabi crackers last night. They tasted great but I didn't notice they did much for my blocked nose.

oooh.... I LOVE wasabi and it's effects on my nasal cavaties. A spoonful of horseradish is fun, too. :)

lol - for those who like mashed potato - add a spoonful (teaspoon) per person to the mashed potato at supper - makes it really yummy :)
