I've done 400+ dives with my Seaquest Black Diamond and have been happy with it so far (other than the fact that it is really heavy and bulky, and travelling with it is a real PITA).
Recently, I had the chance to try out a Halcyon Eclipse in a pool and realized what I've been missing out all these years. Problem with Black Diamond is the way the air distributes itself over its U-shaped bladder. Halcyon Eclipse is a beauty and offers such close body hugging experience that was never found in my Black Diamond.
Right now, I'm considering getting either a Dive Rite Transplate w/ AL BP and Venture wings, or a Halcyon Eclipse with AL BP. Can anyone who has dived with both advice on the 'feel' of these 2 BP/W setup?
Also, I am thinking of getting it from Philippines (I stay in Singapore), which is gonna save me 100 bucks or so. Is the warranty for Dive Rite and Halcyon regconized internationally? In other words, can I file for warranty claims in Singapore even if I bought it in Philippines, if the need arises?
