I hope you all are staying safe and warm and that this winter storm doesn't keep you out of commission for long. I get the NYC network affiliate stations here and just saw that much of NJ is without power, all NY airports are closed, and snow is coming down heavy!

If it's any consolation, we're not diving here today and it's actually below 70º in COZ! Winds are from the north at 30mph with some much stronger gusts.

Thinking about you guys up there!

Thanks for the kind words!

It's snowing here in Maine now at a moderate rate but we should only be getting about 8 inches, or so they say. Not good weather for diving however I have other interests to fall back on....

Bet there aren't many those in COZ!

Up until a week or so we were having an amazingly mild winter with ocean temps around 40F, thats' 6F above the norm.

The good news is that we're almost 2 months past the solstice and the sun is noticably stronger. Roads ment clean sooner and the days alonger improving everyones mood. While the cold and snow can be frustrating and cause some damage most of us willingly accept it in place of tornadoes, hurricanes an sunamiis.

Pretty nasty on Cape Cod. 30-50 mph winds, horizontal snow. No diving today I guess!

We still have horizontal snow in Manhattan and I've got to go out and find something to eat.

Nevis Diver:
18 degrees, 23" of snow, and it's still coming down in the NC mountains near the slopes
23" and still falling? Kewl!

Well, it might actually get below freezing tonight FOR THE SECOND NIGHT IN A ROW! I don't know how much more of the brutal Texas winter I can take... ;^)
