Is walden pond diveable? Anyone done it? have an experience doing it?

exactly..and i know there are *some* fish in there...but the question is...is it worth diving? anything interesting in there other than kids peeing in the water?

I had the same question 2 years ago. This pond is kinda deep, a hole in the middle is about 90feet according a chart I read. The water is very clear, could be a very interesting freshwater dive. I have no idea why nobody had mentioned it.

I don't know if diving is allowed there.
I was also thinking about the Upper Mystic Lake in Winchester/Arlington/Medford.
The Upper Mystic is about 80 feet deep and pretty big..but I don't know if diving is allowed there either.

According to state law, any waters open to public swimming are open to diving. I'm not sure how they would make such an exception for Walden....I know a couple people who have dived it, but they kept it hush hush because of being told the same thing.
