vulcanizing adhesive cement ?

:06: I've got some slightly worn BCD inflator hoses on our BCDs and was wondering if it would be worthwhile to lightly apply vulcanizing cement adhesive to the "valleys" where the wear is most apparent. I know some will probably say replace it but we're leaving Wednesday.

Depending on how stiff the glue turns out to be, it may speed up the deterioration by directing all the stress to the edge of the glue.
If you had a junk hose to do a test on, that would be best.
