Good afternoon folks,
I'm headed back to Bonaire sometime in the next few months.
We have been multiple times, staying at Sand dollar or Captain Dons. We loved all of our visits, given the short walks to the great house reefs. I was curious if anyone knew of any smaller accommodations , like a house/villa, etc. that had a shore dive out front?
Its just my wife and I, and we typically like to buy our groceries and kind of feel a more quiet atmosphere. Its just my wife and I, so we dont need much as far as space, single bedroom works just fine. I was going to reach out and see if anyone had suggestions vs. the hotels/apts.

kindest regards~!

Den Laman,
Waterfront condos, Dive Friends on site pier to dive from, or catch one of dive friends boats. On Bari Reef, between Sand Dollar and the new Park. Two thumbs up. Staying there right now. Rented through Sunwise Bonaire

Thanks! I always wondered about them when i was at Sand Dollar next door. Are they noisy? Also, do they have first floor rooms?

A few places to check out: Belmar Oceanfront Apartments, Bellevue Apartments Bonaire, and Belair Apartments. All have their own shore access and make a good home base for diving the southern sites.

I think there are a few, they are condos, one and two bedroom, we are in shark third floor no elevator. Noise isn't bad, non existent after 9:30

Home - Den Laman We’ve always booked directly through Sunwise Bonaire Vacation Rentals - Luxury Rental Villas and Apartments . Only one unit on the ground floor, a very nice 2 bed, 2 bath that is difficult to get. Definitely worth looking into, though. We have stayed at Den Laman the past 3 years on the second floor. The only noise issue was this past year they started a road race at the new park. Otherwise, it’s always been great, even when we’ve stayed directly above the restaurant.

Like a foot race, or top fuel dragsters?😁

We had some Dutch barbequing and rocking out to abba till 9:00 one night 😱🙄🤣

Stay the furthest North or South to be closest to sites with “minimal” SCTLD damage and avoid traversing through town when cruise fleas are getting on the Rasta bus.

Agreed, Ive typically stayed in the Sand dollar/Den Laman/ Captain Dons region and stuck to the sites north. I would make a trip or 2 a week to go to see Hilma and Salt Pier.
