Vortoberfest Saltwater Dives??????

I was wondering if any of you were thinking of not only diving Vortex, Morrison, and such, but trying to hit some shore dives as well. The location makes it reasonable to get to St. Andrews, Destin Jetties, Navarre Pier, even P-Cola reef. Here are the tide charts for Vortoberfest weekend. I think it would be cool to get out there and shore dive and then rinse our gear in the springs.

I have arranged an offshore trip 2 tank dive for early Sat morning of Vortoberfest. There are still slots open, just add your name to the list! All the details are on the thread! I know it's not a shore dive, but we want to get down deep on some wrecks!

Well it all depends on the conditions. I have been trying to get to the twin tugs, but there are some newer wrecks out there with lots of fish on them. So we shall see. I will talk to the Cpt the week of Vortoberfest to get an idea of what our options are. The offshore dives have become a tradition at least for Me, Krak, and YellowAngelFish. It's almost like we have a vendetta against the scuba gods! LOL!

We might try and make it to the shore as we can't do a boat dive due to the non divers in our family. I've yet to do a shore dive so if there's a group, we'd consider going.

Well there's no chance I'd miss out on the social activities! After all that's a major part of the 'Fest, so I've heard. Music and dancing. I don't sing, so we won't go there. I've got myself a special hat just for the occasion! I'm happy to 'chill' out at Vortex.
