Vortex question

I'll be passing through the panhandle after Christmas and would like to make a pit stop and hit Vortex springs. Ive never dove there but always wanted to.

My questions are since I will be alone, is it likely that I could 'latch-on' to another group to buddy-ip? Is it crowded on weekends in December? If any of you out there are interested in hitting Vortes 12/27 (saturday) let me know. I could adjust my travel accordingly.

There are usually several people and classes there on the weekends. You probably wouldn't have too much trouble finding a group to dive with. It is the holidays though, that may help or hurt attendance there... not sure as I've never been on that weekend.

Me and a buddy might be at Vortex on Saturday, Dec. 27th. My buddy doesn't know it yet, but he is getting some new equipment for Christmas that he will want to try out. I need to experiment with a new camera housing. Let me know if you still plan on being there and we can plan on meeting up.

That is another reason I want to hit Vortex (new xmas present!). I'm there (barring severe weather changes), early afternoon is probably best for me. Let me know.

Im going to shoot for a 12pm-1pm(saturday) arrival at the spring, I'll be traveling so hopefully no delays. Hope to see some of you there!
